Building the inner foundation

Building the inner foundationof the next generation

Young people should not have to spend adulthood learning that they were enough all along.

A young person does not begin becoming whole when we fix them. They begin from wholeness.

Our central belief

Enoughness precedes achievement.

Every young person deserves to know that their value is inherent—not something they earn through performance, approval, appearance, belonging, behavior, or accomplishment.

Enoughness is not perfection or the absence of challenge. It means a young person’s inherent value remains intact while they learn, grow, fail, change, struggle, succeed, and become.

“We don’t wait until young people are broken to teach them they are worthy.”

The iAM Framework

Seven ways
into self.

Seven dimensions of development. One internal foundation. An interconnected journey from enoughness to becoming.

  1. 01

    I AM ENOUGH

    Self-worth · dignity · self-compassion

Knowing that my value is inherent and does not have to be earned.

  2. 02

    I AM

    Identity · values · individuality · authenticity

Knowing who I am and developing the freedom to become more fully myself.

  3. 03

    I FEEL

Emotional awareness · emotional safety · communication

Understanding what I feel, expressing it, and learning that emotions can be experienced safely.

  4. 04

    I BELONG

Connection · community · inclusion · healthy belonging

Experiencing connection without having to diminish myself to earn a place.

  5. 05

    I RELATE

    Relationships · boundaries · communication · conflict

Building healthy relationships while honoring myself and others.

  6. 06

    I CHOOSE

    Agency · decision-making · responsibility

Making choices, understanding consequences, establishing boundaries, and influencing the direction of my life.

  7. 07

    I BECOME

Purpose · life skills · possibility · future orientation

Imagining and building a meaningful future without believing I must become someone else to deserve one.

Our core values

Enoughness

We believe every young person is inherently whole and worthy. Their value does not have to be earned through achievement, appearance, approval, performance, or belonging.

Dignity

We believe every human being is inherently worthy of dignity, care, belonging, and opportunity.

Integrity

We cultivate alignment between who we are, what we believe, and how we live.

Authenticity

We create space for young people to discover, express, and honor who they are.

Love

We believe healthy development begins with intentional care for ourselves, one another, and our communities.

Courage

We believe becoming whole requires the courage to be truthful, visible, vulnerable, and willing to grow.

Belonging

We believe no young person should have to diminish themselves to earn a place in the world.

iAM Girls

Becoming Whole

The original girls-focused expression of iAM NextGen: a developmental experience for girls ages 11–18 centered on self-worth, identity, emotional literacy, healthy relationships, boundaries, confidence, communication, life skills, and purpose.

Girls are not being taught to become worthy. They are supported in discovering, trusting, protecting, and living from the worth they already possess.

The larger question

What if we helped young people build the foundation before they had to spend adulthood rebuilding it?

iAM NextGen is building that foundation now—so young people can develop from dignity rather than deficiency, and navigate the world without losing themselves in it.

Impact with integrity

Measure what matters. Learn as we grow.

iAM NextGen will establish meaningful baselines, measure developmental progress, evaluate interventions, and continuously improve its programs through evidence-informed development. We will not make claims before the evidence exists.
